| 1980 Olds Cutlass calais 450hp 455ci...FAST!!!! Here we have a 1980 cutlass calais in good shape body wise and great shape engine wise. I pulled the 4.3l and installed a 455 from a 1970 olds 98. the following is what I did to the motor. totally overhauled with new parts. ported and polished large valve heads. .578 lift Lunati cam. polished 750 edelbrock 4bbl carb. high flow (80 gallon per hour) manual fuel pump. Custom built Flow master large tube headers feeding 2" pipes, turbo mufflers that exit in front of rear tire. it had the w-30 intake so I left it there. double roller timing chain and new steel pullies. converted to HEI, new stage three B &M shift kit in a turbo 350 tranny. new trans am 3 core radiator with trans cooler. high volume oil pump. 1200-2200 stall converter (B &M) the rear has been changed to a 7.5 corporate with 3.42 to 1 gears (also have a set of 2.29 to 1 will go with it) has 6000 miles on this motor and was dinoed at 456 hp and 512 ftlbs torque there is alot of High preformance parts inside to numerious to bore you with. has a set of aluminum directional Modern 14" wheels wrapped in Firesont Forehawk ss20 rubber. Three link coil suspension along with adjustible air shocks in the rear. only real things it needs done is some minor interior work (I use seat covers) and the hood scoop needs some body work (carb used to come out the hood changed the carb so the hole got a scoop and how needs some filler) car will run 1 /4 in 11.56s but it could go faster but did not want to damage anything.
