This is as nice a 1998 Malibu as you will find anywhere. A dependable, 5 passenger Chevrolet Malibu would be a great first car or a “Back to School Special”. This car cleaned up nice and shows well. It features the popular 3.1 liter V-6 engine with the four speed overdrive automatic transmission, power windows, power locks, ice cold air conditioning, reclining bucket seats, stereo, tilt steering wheel, cruise control that works. The outside features a set of matching Kumho wide oval tires that are almost new, mounted on four American Racing wheels that have just been refinished.
Additionally the car has new spark plugs and wires, idle air control (IAC) was replaced, O2 Sensor replaced, new front brake pads and rotors, a new front brake caliper and the rear brakes have just been checked and have a lot of lining left so they were cleaned and adjusted. The air conditioning system has just been serviced and the compressor and Freon have been replaced. Yes, the intake plenum gaskets have just been replaced as well as new head gaskets.
By the way, it is rated by the government at 20 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
The tan cloth interior has been removed, pressure washed, deodorized and antibacterial cleaned. The interior contrasts nicely with the shiny Dark Cherry exterior finish.
