Got it from my aunt she was the first owner straight from the dealer. Its been sitting in my driveway and hasnt been started for years, just looking to get rid of it. This car needs a new distributor assembly. Could be ECU computer which caused the distributor to fail - the computer needs to be tested as the new distributor assembly is installed. The mounts for the front struts need to be replaced.
The problem is it won't always start, or stalls and won't restart, and the idle varies quite a lot from one day to the next. It also has squeaky steering, and the speedometer doesn't work.
200K, automatic (transmission has about 130K), black exterior, tan interior, sunroof, rust spots that were repaired last fall, otherwise runs great and is a fun sports car to drive.
Because of the starting /stalling problem, several things were recently replaced in an attempt to solve the problem until a mechanic with the right testing equipment finally diagnosed it properly. So, new fuel pump, fuel filter, ignition coil, ignition switch, tune-up (wires, spark plugs, distributer cap). Also alternator and battery.

i am selling everything from the rims and tires to the spark plugs.the rear bumper has a punch hole in it and the 2 fenders and hood have dents. the paint isnt great and there is minor rust around the wheel wells, the driver's seat has a sewable tear in it. other than that all the other parts should be a-ok. if you want to buy a part let me know and i will give you my competitive price please e-mail me any questions you may have about the prelude
